This course is designed to expose students to another language and another culture. They will learn the rudiments of French with a conversational approach. Students will learn to be culture-competent and know how to interact with people from other cultures. For the other half of class, Mixology will reinforce students' basic understanding of the scientific method and experimental design through hands-on activities and demonstrations. Participants will study fundamental topics in chemistry, including acids, bases, and polymers. The course will wrap up with a unit on kitchen chemistry that will include creating fun snacks.
